on some options I have put together. I am just prospecting now, probably won't do anything about it for 2 years or so. I have 4 main options. First Gen RX-7:
240Z:
240SX:
AE86 Corolla:
My criteria are as follows: Initial cost <$2,000, Light weight, redily available parts, RWD. I may try drifting someday, but for right now I'd be looking for a car which handles like it is on rails. So I'm thinking of pros and cons. Pros: anything pre 1982 (240 & RX-7)I don't need to have emissions equipment to make it street legal. SL is not a priority, as I will probably tow to and from track. Cons: they're old and parts may be hard to find. I haven't dove too far into this yet, just doing some research. Here are some links to things I found: eBay SR20 auction eBay 240Z auction eBay first gen RX-7 auction Paint, looks etc are not important, as I will probably just get a maaco paint job or paint it flat black my self. Just looking to get your opinions. I am now addictied to track driving after doing it once :-)
